Bondi Toy Library is a not-for-profit, community based organisation. It is run by a Management Committee of volunteer members and employs a part-time coordinator. We are always looking for contributions from the local community. There are many ways that you can help. If you're interested, please get in touch—we'd love to hear from you!
Join the committee
Help run the Toy Library by becoming part of our volunteer Management Committee. You can join the Committee as a general member, or take on a specific position. These include:
Social Media Officer
Special Projects Officer
See our Position Descriptions for an overview and contact us any time with questions or expressions of interest.
We gladly accept donations of clean toys in good condition, either pre-loved or new. Drop them at the library during opening hours. Unfortunately, we cannot accept soft/ stuffed toys for hygiene reasons.
If you're an organisation who would like to support us, please talk to us about our toy catalogue wishlist. We would love your assistance in making our shared community resource the best it can possibly be.

Volunteer for special projects
Bondi Toy Library is able to open 3 mornings a week thanks to our wonderful part-time coordinators. But we would love to open our doors more often, which requires volunteer toy librarians to open and lock up, sign toys in and out, and follow our toy cleaning protocol.
Full training is provided. All that's required on your part are very basic computer skills, a friendly attitude and an hour or two of your time.
Some of our special projects include:
Adding photos to our online toy catalogue. Let us know if you have a spare hour to help take or upload photos.
Fundraising events such as our Pirate Party and Messy Play Days. If you're an event planner, project manager, or just a happy helper, we would love your assistance in putting on more fundraisers.
Community outreach. We want to increase our presence at local events so that more people know about the toy library. Please get in touch if you'd be willing to man an information stand or a "try the toys" session.
